Cookie Policy
Effective September 14, 2026
This page explains the cookies and similar browser storage Proquri uses. It works alongside our Privacy Notice, which covers personal data more broadly.
What’s a cookie, and what counts as "similar technology"
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Regulators (and this policy) treat other browser storage that works the same way — like localStorage — under the same rules where it's used for tracking, even though it isn't technically a cookie.
What we currently use
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PocketBase auth token (localStorage, not a cookie) | Proquri (first-party) | Keeps you logged in | Strictly necessary | Until you log out or clear browser storage |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors | Analytics | 2 years |
| _ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics | Persists session state for Analytics | Analytics | 2 years |
The login session storage is strictly necessary for a feature you directly requested (staying logged in) and doesn't require consent under ePrivacy/GDPR — but we're listing it here anyway, in the interest of actually being complete rather than only listing what the law requires us to.
Google Analytics is not strictly necessary, and only loads after you accept it in the cookie banner — see "Your choices" below.
What we don't use
We don't use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or any third-party embed (video, chat widget, social share button) that sets its own cookies. If that changes, we'll update this page and, where required, ask for your consent before anything new loads.
Stripe, and payments
When you subscribe to a paid tier, you're redirected to Stripe's own hosted checkout page to complete payment. Stripe may set its own cookies there, on stripe.com, governed by Stripe's own cookie and privacy policies — not this one, since it happens on their domain, not ours.
Your choices
When you first visit Proquri, a banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies. Nothing beyond the strictly-necessary login storage loads until you choose. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies directly in your browser's settings, though that may affect the strictly-necessary login session.
Changes to this policy
We'll update the effective date above whenever we change what we use.
